Welcome to the Encouraging Enrollment in
Engineering website!
Encouraging Enrollment in
Engineering is
an outreach program run exclusively by students
in the College of
Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan.
Our committee, better known as E^3 ("E cubed"), works to promote
engineering to
high
school students, both as a possible career choice and as a college at
the
U of S in which to enroll.
If you are a high school student, teacher, or counsellor, and would
like
us to make a presentation at your
school about the field of engineering and the College of Engineering,
please contact us.
For an even greater experience of the College of Engineering, E^3 runs
an On-Campus Day,
which is coming up on
Friday, February 4, 2005. Students who attend On-Campus Day get
to see the college in full-swing while listening to a sample lecture
presentend by one of our excellent professors, participate in a design
challenge in one of our labs, and tour the building to see all of the
cool stuff we've got hidden within our red-bricked walls.
Registration has begun, and space is limited, so register soon!
E^3 also works very closely with the Discover Conference:
a two-day, one-night, chance of a lifetime for grade 8 girls who are
interested in science and engineering to come to the College of
Engineering and experience science and engineering in a fun and
interesting way. Check out the Discover Conference
website for more information and to register.
The success of our activities depends upon the engineering student
volunteers who donate their time and talents. We constantly
require enthusiastic people to help out with E^3 events. If
you're an engineering student, please consider volunteering with E^3.
For more information, or to
volunteer, send us an e-mail.
